Printing
You can print any page on this site by using your normal browser print controls or by selecting the site's "Print" menu item. Through careful use of style sheets pages are formatted differently when printed to when they are viewed on screen. This allows us to maintain our site in one place, whilst supporting multiple presentation mediums.
Older browsers
Older browsers which do not support modern web standards or support a limited or non-standard document object model will still display the site, but may not display it with the same formatting or features (e.g. menus).
Mobile platforms
Mobile users can use this site. This is because although the site uses the advanced features of modern browsers to implement some content everything is designed to fail gracefully in simpler browsers. This site has been tested on a variety of mobile devices and hand-held computers.
Why did you do that ?
After spending many years banging our heads against the wall trying to support a range of web browsers designers are finally realising that the way forward is to get users to throw away the old technology and deploy standards compliant code, which fails gracefully (i.e. is still functional even if it doesn't look the same) on browsers which are non-standard or do not support a full feature set.
